Lorenza Pignatti is a human being based on her feet. Below a short cv.

Lorenza Pignatti is a curator, essayist and, since 2002, a professor of Phenomenology of Contemporary Art at the New Academy of Fine Arts (NABA) in Milan. She has also taught at the University of Urbino and Bologna, and the Academy of Applied Sciences and Arts at SUPSI in Lugano (Switzerland).

She curated a retrospective of the film director Pere Portabella at Pesaro Film Festival; a retrospective of Mike Hoolboom at Filmmaker Festival, Milano, the solo show Mika Taanila. Damage/Control, and the group exhibition Dilettanti Geniali. Sperimentazioni artistiche degli anni Ottanta - both at the Padiglione de l’Esprit Nouveau in Bologna. With Diana Padron, she co-curated the solo show of Max de Esteban titled Twenty Red Lights, as a collateral event at the XIII Bienal de la Habana.

She wrote with Franco "Bifo" Berardi the book Adbusters. Ironia e distopia dell'attivismo visuale (Meltemi Editore), she edited Mind the Map. Mappe, diagrammi e dispositivi cartografici (Postmedia Books) and co-edited, with Franco Berardi "Bifo" and Marco Magagnoli, Errore di sistema. Teoria e pratiche di Adbusters, (Feltrinelli Editore).

She contributed to several books and catalogues, and she is a freelance journalist for the newspapers “Il Manifesto”, “La Repubblica”, and for international magazines and publications such as “e-flux journal”, “Art Review”, “Frieze”, “No Order. Art in a Post-fordist Society”.
